(1) For promotion, the police personnel will be given a maximum of 10 places based on their educational qualification as follows:- Educational Qualification First Class Second Class Third Class
(a) The minimum educational qualification required for new appointment to the existing post is 8 7.75 7.5
(b) For educational qualification above the minimum educational qualification 2 1.75 1.50
(c) In the case of a police employee holding the current position by promotion, if he does not have the educational qualification as per clause (a), for the educational qualification one level below that, 7 6 5
(2) In the case of uncategorized certificates, if the level is determined by the university designated by the Government of Nepal, it will be given the same level as the same level and if the level is not determined, it will be given the same level as the second level.
(3) When calculating the educational qualification for promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police or above, the educational qualification required for the post of Police Inspector shall be considered as the minimum educational qualification.
